Hazardous area warning tape
Signalling tape is a product that both alerts the public, but also ensures the protection of professionals by indicating their presence on a construction site, work or intervention area. Widely used on building sites, the tape is also used as a marking for the municipal police, fire brigade, rescue services or road works.
The different warning tapes
The marking of an area can be done with a colour code that will inform the public of the type of intervention and the possible danger. Each trade has different coloured herringbone ribbons to differentiate them from each other:
- yellow and black, or yellow and red for firefighters;
- red and white on building sites;
- blue and white for the Municipal Police.
This colour code is only given as an indication and is in no way obligatory. Red and white herringbone ribbon is the most common, also used by private individuals, and signal ribbons may also bear handwritten black text to accentuate visibility and the notion of danger. It is therefore possible to have signalling equipment bearing, for example, the words "FIREMEN", "STOP", "DANGER - DO NOT FRANCH".

Made of polyethylene, the signalling tape has a high resistance up to 50 microns, making it tear-proof and therefore reusable.
